Upon graduating from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics in 1995, Brenton went to work for the National Cotton Council as a Field Representative calling on producers and ginners in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia.  He was responsible for relaying national cotton industry policy back to the producer and ginner membership. Brenton then joined Edgar Woods and Palmetto Grain Brokerage to help create the Pinnacle Marketing Program, working hand-in-hand with individual farming operations.

For the last 25 years, Brenton has had the privilege of helping actively manage the commodity marketing on over 300,000 acres of SC & GA farmland.  He is most proud of the many great friendships that have been made over the years with his SC & GA producer clients and of the tremendous strides in farmer education in crop marketing that has taken place since the Pinnacle Marketing Program’s inception. Brenton would challenge anyone to find a group of more educated producers than here in the southeast. Today, Palmetto Grain Brokerage and Pinnacle Marketing are determined to build a “Total Risk Management Team” through unbiased, transparent sharing of information and strategic partnerships with other cutting edge agricultural companies. Outside of the office, Brenton loves spending time with his wife Ashley and their three children Mary Clanton, Banks, and Letha Marie ‘Bootsie’. He serves on the Board of Governors and Board of Trustees at Holy Trinity Classical Christian School in Beaufort and he and his family attend The Parish Church of St Helena in Beaufort, SC. Brenton is an avid college football fan, loves following his beloved Clemson Tigers and working with youth through coaching.
